The Saronic islands are situated at a close distance from Athens, the capital of Greece and its port, Piraeus and are scattered between the prefecture of Attica and the eastern side of the Peloponnese. This group of Greek Islands is composed of Angistri, Aegina, Methana, Poros, Salamina, Spetses and Hydra and they have a lot to offer to the visitors: natural beauty, clean sandy beaches and even small deserted islets to explore.
Hydra Greece is a beautiful island lying in the archipelago called the Argo-Saronic. Hydra is situated between the islands of Poros and Spetses, near the coast of the eastern foot of the Peloponnese. Hydra is very popular Greek Island because of its extremely picturesque capital, full of red tiled houses and stone-paved narrow alleys. It used to be the destination of fashionable artists during the sixties and has kept a highly cosmopolitan character.
Spetses Greece is a small island in the Saronic Gulf, right opposite the Peloponnesian coast of Ermionida. It is a beautiful island with rich vegetation and many pine trees. It has various wonderful sandy beaches and lovely secluded bays. Its villages are picturesque and authentic and its capital is a real architectural beauty full of two-storey neoclassical houses with wooden balconies, coloured walls, and narrow stone-paved alleys.
